Scope and Contents In addition to translated transcriptions of Donald Wright's 1974-75 interviews relating to Senegambian history, with most of the interviews done in The Gambia and almost all in Mandinka language, also included are interviews recorded by S.M. Cissoko in 1967, a few other interviews in Wolof, plus some eighteenth century documents from British archives, and a dozen or so other papers, including some from the Conference on the Oral Traditions of Kaabu in Dakar in 1980. The 140 prints represent prints chosen by Freed to print from his trip to South Africa in early 1994.
